By default charts in the MT4 terminal shown only the Bid prices. However, for the opening of long positions and closing of short positions, the Ask price is used. For your convenience, MT4 allows customers to show an “ASK” line. This line will appear above the price of the current bar. The ASK line can be enabled by bringing up the MT4 chart properties and choosing, “Show ask line”. Please note that due to the internal architecture of the MT4 trading platform, prices on charts may differ from those available in the Market Watch window. This will happen if a client opens certain account types through referral links. We, as an STP broker, have to include some markup in the prices quoted to cover our expenses.
